Bored of the old end-game content in OSRS? You’re at the right spot! Today we’ll be looking at a formidable foe known as TzKal-Zuk. You don’t have to get right into it, read through our guide for what strategies you have to use against the boss.

The Inferno

Inferno is a popular minigame in OSRS, which was introduced around 2017. Here, players have to battle through 69 waves of enemies with increased difficulty. The ultimate challenge that awaits is TzKal-Zuk, who stands at 1400 HP.

The downside is that there’s no save or spawn back point. If you die, then you DIE! You have to start back from one. Known as one of the most difficult challenges in the game, let’s have a look at what awaits within these fight caves.

Requirements

You can only access the Inferno after sacrificing a Fire Cape to TzHaar-Ket-Keh. You can enter the minigame as many times as you want once you give it to him. It’s worth noting that you can’t access the Inferno in restricted words. Make sure you have what you need because you can’t restock your supplies in the middle of the game. This also includes logging out or getting forced to log out due to a bad internet connection.

Now that you know how difficult this challenge is, you can read through the strategy we have prepared for you. You’ll soon be screaming VICTORY after beating the boss down to zero health. So, let’s begin!

TzKal-Zuk

TzKal-Zuk is the final boss in the Inferno minigame. He’s also the second-strongest boss in the game, with Verzik Vitur holding the first spot. That’s primarily why you cannot approach TzKal-Zuk without a few tips.

TzKal-Zuk is the head of TzHaars in the Inferno. You can pay either Nieve or Duradel with 100 Slayer points to get a TzHaar Slayer task assigned. When that happens, you’ll be given the option to choose from TzTok-Jad and TzKal-Zuk. However, the option only triggers when you have killed Zuk at least once. Defeating the boss on a Slayer task grants 101,890 Slayer XP!

Strategy

You cannot attack TzKal-Zuk with melee because he won’t be physically present on the platform. This means you need to use either Ranged or Magic to defeat him. The best choice of weapon for Ranged would be the Twisted Bow and Toxic Blowpipe (for the spawned minions).

During the fight, you’ll notice that a shield comes up to protect you from TzKal-Zuk. The shield has 600 HP and it keeps moving around, so make sure that you move with it to avoid any incoming hits.

When the shield is active, you’ll also notice Jal-Zek and Jal-Xil attacking it. The objective here is to stop them from destroying the shield because if it’s destroyed, then you won’t be able to survive much longer.

Once TzKal-Zuk hits 480 HP, the shield will now be attacked by a JalTok-Jad. Same as the previous instance, you need to protect the shield at all costs. It may become a problem when Jal-Zek and Jal-Xil appear again so you need to be quick!

Once TzKal-Zuk is down to 240 HP, his attack speed will increase and four Jal-MejJaks will appear. These spawns are healers who increase HP by an average of 25. If you don’t attack TzKal-Zuk within the timeframe, then his HP will begin to regenerate so take the healers out or you’ll be in trouble.

Rewards

Once TzKal-Zuk is defeated, you’ll be rewarded with an Infernal Cape (untradeable) and 16,440 Tokkul (Mor Ul Rek Currency). If you’ve completed the Elite Karamja Diary, then the reward amount will double.

You also have a 1 in 100 chance of obtaining a Jal-Nib-Rek pet. You can always gamble by giving away your Infernal Cape for a chance to obtain the pet.

Conclusion

Now that you have everything you need, it’s time to move on to the real battle! You can always choose alternate ways or weapons to try out which fit you best. Either way, we hope you liked our guide. Good luck!
